The basis for nearly all disease is food related or at the very least worsened because of dietary choices. A typical American eats almost 1 ton of food yearly more than half of which is processed foods.

Processed foods, technically termed “ultra-processed” foods include added chemicals such as artificial colors or flavors, preservatives, binding and anti-caking agents – in other words chemicals which are not foods.

Organic foods cannot have pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, ionizing radiation, or genetically modified organisms involved in their production. That description alone makes me worry about foods which are not organic!

Food sensitivities affect somewhere between one third to two thirds of all adults. Most food sensitivities are passed off as IBS without proper evaluation. Food testing can be easily done but there are many labs out there but only a very few that are reliable and consistent. We do this test on almost every new patient.
